The ‘Green School’ Award

This award is being piloted in order both to show recognition to LAHC schools which demonstrate a commitment to environmental responsibility and to encourage schools to consider ways in which they might turn thoughts and words into action.

The following three documents may be found here:

‘Green School award’ sets out the principle, the practice and the procedure for application, evaluation and presentation.

‘GS award. Expansion of Principles’ is an explanation of what is intended by way of interpretation of the 10 principles contained in the abovementioned document.

‘GS award. Declaration’ is the document to be used for a school’s application. This may be downloaded, completed and sent o the Executive Officer (david.bamford@lahc.net) in order for the process of evaluation to be set in motion.
