Aida Allen is an accomplished consultant, presenter, and teaching clinician. She has given professional learning and consulted throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the South Pacific.
Aida is an adjunct professor of teacher education at San Diego State University. She has served as a liaison and resource for school districts, superintendent, school administrators, and, residency programs, and partnerships that cultivate accomplished teachers. She delivers professional learning and coaching to school districts on instructional rounds as a member of ASCD’s FIT teaching, and on his other areas of expertise including curriculum design, Visible Learning, Balanced Literacy, English Learners and learning, teacher leadership, and school and district leadership.
Aida has worked as a bilingual teacher in an elementary school. She currently works with Dr. Douglas Fisher at Health Science High and Middle College as an instructional coach, English Learner coordinator and administrator. She has also worked to develop teacher and leadership growth mindsets for diverse learning populations. Aida research agenda includes school leadership and teacher leadership development, urban school leader development, multicultural education, and Restorative Practice.
Allen holds a master’s degree in educational curriculum and development from San Diego State University.
