• LAHC Review March 06, 2017

During the first week of June a group of 15 educators drawn from 13 LAHC schools in 6 countries came together to conduct a review of St George’s College, Lima. The visit represented the culmination of a year-long process encompassing a detailed self-study conducted by the school, the collection and analysis of extensive documentation and a two day pre-review visit, all of which helped to provide the team with a thorough preparation for the job ahead.

A total of 200 lesson observations, together with numerous interviews and meetings provided a solid evidence base from which the team was able to draw the commendations and recommendations which highlighted the strengths of the school and the areas of opportunity for inclusion in the development plan.

As always, the process was intense and demanding but the team displayed the highest levels of professionalism, collaboration and camaraderie, gaining a tremendous amount both personally and professionally from the experience as well as providing the school with a detailed and incisive report that will be of considerable value for focussing school improvement plans.

Thanks to St George’s for their warm hospitality, their openness and for providing the team with the best possible conditions for carrying out the job, to the schools that released the team members and to an outstanding group of educators who came together one Saturday morning as relative strangers and parted ways the following Saturday as firm friends.
