Description
Our school is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and adaptable Teacher of BTECs (Personal Growth
and Wellbeing, Child development and Enterprise) to start at Easter 2024 (earlier/later start dates
may be possible by negotiation). The successful applicant will join a well-resourced school with a
supportive staff team, small class sizes and students who are keen to learn. The school is well
equipped and resourced, and you will work in a curriculum team to ensure all learners have
opportunities to reach their full potential.
Successful candidates will be expected to teach Child Development, Personal Growth and Wellbeing
and Enterprise. Moving forward into next year’s timetable there will be more flexibility regarding
the courses taught - we are keen to develop the vocational curriculum offer and the successful
candidate will play a key role in the development of the islands vocational offer in the future.

Requirements
a graduate teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (recognisable in UK) who has completed their
ECF induction and has 1 or more years post ECF successful experience teaching at secondary
level, at a good or better standard
is focused on teaching and learning, helping students achieve high levels of progress in a positive
and effective learning environment
is able to efficiently manage resources and support staff to ensure students receive the support
they require
is able to contribute to the development of PSHE, pastoral life and extra curriculum
opportunities.
ECF induction and has 1 or more years post ECF successful experience teaching at secondary
