The British Schools of Montevideo seeks a Head of Creative Arts to be an effective, innovative and visionary leader to take the School into the next stage of its development.

The successful candidate must have a passion for the Arts, a track record of excellence in teaching across the age and ability range, and the skills to inspire and engage students of all ages. A Musician, first and foremost, a vision for the development of Music teaching, both in terms of classroom practice and peripatetic instrumental lessons is a must.

• A degree in Music (at least to Undergraduate level) or a
Creative Arts related field. A postgraduate qualification in
education or leadership is desirable.
• Excellent practical music skills, preferably with strong
keyboard proficiency.
• Proven experience in teaching Creative Arts across
different age groups.
• Demonstrated success in leading and managing a
Creative Arts Department or programme.
• Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal
skills.
• A creative and innovative approach to teaching and
learning.
• Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion
within the Creative Arts.
• The ability to meet tight deadlines. • Strong sense of teamwork in leading by example.
