Markham College is seeking a Head of Primary to work full time starting February 2026.

Candidates must have a relevant degree, hold a teaching qualification and have experience in a leadership role. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Markham College, ensuring that the Primary Section is functioning in accordance with the school’s Guiding Statements and local legislation. Moreover, the successful candidate will oversee the wellbeing and safeguarding of all students in Primary, as well as the section’s academic staff. English proficiency is required for this position.

● A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience as a Faculty, Subject or Curriculum Head or Head of Section
● An ability to demonstrate an excellent record as a teacher and middle or senior leader, already contributing significantly to whole-school developments.
● Proven ability to monitor and evaluate teams and individuals.
● Excellent communication skills in spoken and written form
● Widely read, with a demonstrable appetite for educational innovation in a rapidly changing sector and educational data literate
● Proven experience in PYP Curriculum
