Newton College are looking to appoint a strategic and inspiring leader with a clear educational vision consistent with the Newton College purpose and belief; someone with exceptionally high standards and expectations in academic excellence, student wellbeing, teaching quality and parent liaison; excellent interpersonal, communication and team-building skills; a natural leader, able to engage, challenge and motivate the whole school community; a person who is resilient, adaptable, decisive and able to lead with sound professional judgement.

Additionally, to lead Upper School (Grades 6–12) in a comprehensive manner, ensuring academic excellence, consistency in teaching, and a structured, high-quality student experience, through the rigorous implementation of the IB continuum, effective management of teaching performance, the use of data for decision-making, and clear communication with the educational community, in order to ensure that all students reach their full potential.

Specific Requirements:

● Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline, with a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Teaching License, QTS, or international equivalent).
● Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership or Management.
● Minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience as Head of Level – Upper School.
● First language English Speaker (C2) Desirable
● Spanish Speaker (desirable but not essential)
● Internationally recognised school leadership training: NPQH / NPQSL (UK)
● IB Leadership Certificates
