Academia Britannica Cuscatleca is a long established IB World School (IBMYP and IBDP) in Santa Tecla, El Salvador. The ABC is the leading regional educational institution in this part of Central America, providing a high-quality international education to children aged 3 - 18 years old. The ABC is CIS accredited and a member of LAHC. We are currently seeking a suitably experienced Director to lead our school in the next phase of its development. The ABC is a values based school with a strong commitment to holistic development and ensuring student well being. The current roll is approximately 1,500 students.

The position of Director of Academia Britanica Cuscatleca is available from either January 2027 or August 2027 depending on the availability of the candidate.

Requirements
Previous leadership experience in a large school
Clear, reflective understanding of own and different leadership styles
A lifelong learner committed to professional growth of themselves and colleagues
Master’s level or higher educational qualification
Proven track record of school improvement in different contexts
Awareness of current trends in education including the potential use of technology
Evidence of appropriate ABC Programme experience - IBDP, IBMYP and IPC
Awareness of diverse learner needs across ages 3–18 including play based learning
Commitment to a child centred values based education
Strong communicator with excellent people skills
Collaborative mindset and strong sense of community service
Some knowledge of Spanish or willingness to learn
