Hiram Bingham is seeking a visionary British leader to serve as the British Head of School,
jointly responsible—alongside the Peruvian Head of School—for articulating and
implementing the school’s vision, mission, and strategic objectives, ensuring the
institution’s holistic success and long-term development. The current Head is retiring
after a total of 29 years of service during two separate periods, which have accomplished
the establishment and consolidation of the school's high reputation in the academic and
pastoral areas.
As the school enters a new phase of development, the incoming Head will have a
decisive role in shaping that evolution—balancing innovation with continuity, and
leadership with collaboration. The successful candidate will be a visible and inspiring
presence on the school community, able to cultivate strong relationships and lead
diverse teams around common goals.
The British Head will ensure effective coordination between the academic team and the
non-academic departments, including Admissions, Accounting, Infrastructure, Human
Resources, Marketing, and Technology, and will be responsible for maintaining a
coherent, innovative, and forward-looking strategic direction.
The British Head of School will have direct line management responsibility for the
Admissions Manager, Human Resources Manager, Infrastructure Manager, Marketing &
Communications Lead, Accounting Lead , and Technology Lead.
The British Head is ultimately accountable to the Board of Directors.

Requirements
● British national, holding appropriate academic and professional qualifications.
● Demonstrated senior leadership experience in international and/or British
curriculum schools.
● Preferably with experience of working in Latin America and an understanding
and appreciation of Latin culture.
● A sound understanding of the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework.
● Proven ability to lead institutional growth and strategic planning.
● Excellent interpersonal, communication, and community-building skills.
● Familiarity with the governance and operations of non-profit educational
institutions is an advantage.
● Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable.
